We stopped for a bagel at Feldman's Bagels in St Albans, then my large McDonalds coffee, on down the thruway, and then a side trip to see our friends Nancy and Jim Carroll and their grandson Noah. Again, a nice piece of luck with schedules, since Nancy won't be around next week and we were able to catch her before she left. We got caught up on all the hometown news. So nice to catch up with old friends.
Now off to southern Vermont to spend the next few days visiting with my family who all live in the southeast corner of Vermont. We stopped at my brother Reed's in Putney to visit a bit (we will see them again). They run a vegetable farm and were celebrating the last of the 7000 lbs of rhubarb they provide for the local winery.
We are staying in Vernon at Milo’s brother Dave’s. We went out for pizza in nearby Turners Falls and we took the long way both ways. Drinking in the sunshine and greenery. Looks like rain coming up this coming weekend so maybe our month long good weather streak is over. Stay tuned.
