I was dropped off here in 1969 in front of my dorm, Cottage 5, with a suitcase, a guitar, and some mail order clothes. It was a terrifying and exciting experience going to “prep school”.
We walked everywhere and talked to a couple of reunion people so tomorrow when the reunion actually starts we'll know where we're going.
After Mt Hermon we visited my grandfather's farm, now run by my cousin's kids. Paul and Mary, my cousins, gave us a very thorough tour. Amazing how much farming has changed in 50 years. They have computerized stuff along with lots of tractors and equipment that replaces a lot of the manual labor from way back when. They gave us some of their maple milk, coffee milk, and half and half. They have expanded into retail along with the usual organic wholesale markets. Their milk goes to Stonyfield, who makes organic yogurts.Back to my brothers where he put some steaks on the grill and we had cocktails on the back porch as the sun set. Another nice day.
