Well nobody showed up last night at the campground so we had the whole place to outselves. Nice moon last night but pitch black later in the night. We came off the hill (7 miles of pavement and 0.6 miles of dirt) then north on Rt 89. We stopped at Micky D’s in Sevier, UT for coffee and then across the street to Ace Hardware for a few screws to fix our outdoor table. Beautiful sunny day all day. We followed along a 10-20 miles of gorgeous canyons with brand new paved bike path that looks like an old rail bed. It went from Big Rock Candy Mountain to Marysvale, Sevier, Joseph and Elsinore. Very nice bikepath with no bikes, but it was still early.
Then we thought it was a good idea to stay on RT 89 from Spanish Fork through Salt Lake City, the old road, but it was pretty awful with stop and go multilane traffic. About the forth Jack In The Box we found the RT 15 interstate and flew through Salt Lake all the way to Brigham City where Rt 89 branches off and goes north and Rt 15 goes west. We had a sub for a late lunch in Brigham City and then headed up the hill. The rest of the day was beautiful twisty mountain roads. We climbed over one range and down into Logan where Deb spent her summer at 10 years old. Her dad did a summer teacher exchange at Utah State University but she doesn’t remember much about it.

So here we are at site 11, a lovely shady site. We expect the temperature to drop again tonight like it did last night (75 degrees to 54 degrees) so the heater is on and waiting.
